Description

  • London, Manchester & Scotland | Hybrid

Ready to build AI that actually matters? This is a rare opportunity to join one of the most ambitious AI and data transformation programmes in UK Financial Services, and to do it at scale, across multiple locations and levels of seniority.

A major consulting and technology organisation is growing its AI engineering capability across London, Manchester and Scotland (hybrid), with roles spanning AI Engineer through to senior technical leadership.

The work is genuinely exciting: production-ready AI solutions tackling real-world challenges in risk, fraud, automation and enterprise platforms, not proofs of concept that gather dust.

You'll be designing and building AI-enabled applications, intelligent workflows and scalable backend services, working hands-on with LLMs, RAG pipelines and Agentic AI.

The tech stack is modern and purposeful — Python, FastAPI, vector databases, leading open-source orchestration frameworks and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks), all within mature MLOps and CI/CD environments.

What makes this stand out is the breadth: you'll collaborate across engineering, architecture, product and business teams, contribute to responsible AI governance, and genuinely help shape how scalable AI gets delivered in a complex, regulated industry.

You'll thrive here if you bring strong engineering foundations, curiosity about what AI can do next, and a collaborative instinct. Experience in Financial Services or regulated environments is valued, and so is a passion for mentoring and learning alongside others.

Importantly — if you don't meet every requirement, please still reach out. Strong technical capability and a growth mindset matter here.

Confidential conversations welcome.
